Our Annual Entry tickets give you a full year of free entry to Discover – to enjoy our Story Worlds, Garden, Story Tree (coming later this year), interactive trails and other free events.
We know that repeat visits to Discover increase your child’s imagination, love of stories and engagement with books and literacy – plus there’s always something new to discover with our seasonal trails and activities. Our new Annual Entry tickets are less than twice the price of a Day Entry so you only need to come twice a year to be saving money – visit us more and you’ll save even more!
Some additional events, immersive exhibition visits etc incur an additional cost – currently between £2-£5.50
Buying your Annual Entry ticket
- Just choose ‘Book Now’ anywhere on our website, and you’ll be given the choice of Day or Annual Entry tickets.
- When you choose an ‘Annual Entry’ ticket, a special membership is added to your Discover booking account (our website will also automatically add a ‘Day Entry’ ticket for the date you’re first visiting on – but this won’t cost you anything extra).
- Our Annual Entry tickets are fully eligible for ‘Gift Aid’ – this means that if you tick the ‘Gift Aid’ box when buying your Annual Entry, we can claim an extra 25% back from the government, at no cost to you. This is due to special rules covering gift aid for annual entry tickets – find out more about why Discover needs this support.
- Annual Entry tickets are not transferable – you won’t be able to ‘lend’ them to any unnamed friends or family as they may be denied entry.
- Discounted Annual Entry tickets are available for Newham residents, along with other concessions. 0-1 year olds and carers for our disabled visitors receive free tickets.
Using your Annual Entry ticket
- When you have an Annual Entry ticket, we’ll still need you to book Day Entry tickets for each date you visit Discover – this is so we can manage usage and capacity in the centre. These Day Entry tickets will be discount to £0 by your Annual Entry ticket though, so you won’t have to pay.
- We recommend booking online, to have the best access to any additional events, to speed up getting into Discover and to avoid disappointment if we’ve reached capacity that day. The easiest way to do this is to login to your Discover account before starting the booking process – although you can also choose your tickets first and login later – either way your Day Entry will be discounted by the Annual Entry on your account before you reach the payment screen.
- An adult visitor can have multiple Annual Entry tickets on their account, so they can book for the whole family. We will ask for names for all adult holders of Entry tickets, and we’ll be asking adults for ID at our front desk (this also means if an adult is coming who isn’t the main account holder, we’ll know they can still use the Annual Entry tickets on the account.)
- If you have bought Annual Entry tickets at different times, be aware that they will then expire at different times.
