Discover Children’s Story Centre is registered charity number 1070468.
We work with over 151,000 children, parents and families each year to encourage a life-long love of stories.
Engaging children with reading, writing and drawing supports their success in learning and communication skills. Stories can also be a great source of pleasure, providing an understanding of ourselves and the wider world.
We work in schools and communities to improve children’s literacy, working with nearly 20,000 school children every year. We aim to give away 10,000 of our tickets free to families who might not otherwise be able to visit Discover.
We are rooted in the borough of Newham, one of the UK’s most diverse areas, from where we can resonate throughout east London and beyond.
We know that lockdown has affected many of the families we support, and we are determined to reopen as fully as possible to continue our charitable mission. However, our temporary closure and the ongoing restrictions will be challenging. If you are able to help Discover to reach the most disadvantaged children through our community projects and subsidy, we would really appreciate your donation.
