Story Street
Story Street turned a misused street in Stratford into a world of adventure and stories in August 2024. Artists, Storytellers, Dancers and Musicians took over the space with a programme of activity designed for families to enjoy together.
Our amazing creative team transformed the street from a junk-filled no-go area into an inspirational and joyous painted play zone filled with murals, games, crafts and storytelling – a place for imaginations to run wild. To support managing this new programme outside, we also launched a new volunteer programme partnering with UCL and Newham Volunteer Services – it was a huge success.
With the help of our local Corporate Supporters, we launched a campaign to provide free tickets to local families. In total, almost 2,000 visitors experienced Story Street and Discover for free, exceeding our initial target by 97% – this would not have been possible without this amazing support.
