Discover creates wonder. We believe stories are critical to child development, that they can transform lives and shape strong communities.
We are the UK’s first Story Centre for children aged 0-11 and their families, proudly based in Newham, East London. As a registered charity (1070468), we are committed to supporting children’s curiosity, creativity, and imagination through literacy, storytelling and play.
Annually, over 125,000 visitors take part in our programme and over 300 schools visit for bespoke workshops. In total, one in ten experiences Discover for free.
Each year, we need to raise approximately £500,000 to continue our award-winning artistic programme and our leading community and education programmes. Ensuring that as many families as possible can take part, regardless of their family situation, is crucial to Discover’s success.
