About the book
Emotions are not always easy to explain, especially when they seem to send mixed messages. Meet Chinelo and Chioma, two loving and curious twins who will learn that tears can be a happy surprise, not just a sign of sadness. They have a little brother named Chike and their parents, Kande and Ibe, dream of an even bigger family, just like in some places where lots of family members mean a lot of love and good luck. One day, they discover their mum crying and worry something’s wrong. Join their adventure to find out the fantastic surprise that will make them all shed happy tears, even the puzzled twins.
About the author
Chinwe Adilih Mayer is a creative writer of poems, stories, songs and a performing artist who conducts mentorship schemes supporting positive mental attitudes in youths. A local of Newham council, Chinwe prides herself as a representation of the rich cultural diversity UK society offers and her characters are based on her own African heritage portraying the importance of representation for young minds which helps bridge cultural gaps and promotes harmony in themes such as immigration, family, community spirit and positivity.
