Things to see & do

Join us for a toe-tapping, rhythm-filled adventure!

In ‘Buster’s Beat Bash’ children will dive into the world of Buster Finds His Beat, an interactive story that comes to life with our augmented reality app. The session will begin with an engaging read-aloud of the book, followed by a creative arts and crafts workshop where kids can design and build their very own drums, just like Buster. After crafting their instruments, children will get to unleash their inner musicians, creating unique rhythms and beats. There will also be plenty of time for colouring, creating, and exploring the wonders of music in a fun and imaginative setting. It’s a hands-on experience that will leave your little ones inspired and grooving to their own beat!

About Pamela Aculey

Pamela Aculey is an award-winning author, best known as the visionary founder of Just Like Me Books. Her author journey was deeply inspired by her personal experience as a mother navigating the limited availability of children’s books that truly represented her autistic son. Determined to make a change, Pamela took matters into her own hands, creating her own line of inclusive and diverse books.

In 2020, Pamela launched Just Like Me Books, pioneering the UK’s first interactive and inclusive augmented reality (AR) picture books. These innovative books seamlessly blend traditional storytelling with cutting-edge AR technology, bringing characters and stories to life in a way that makes reading a more engaging and inclusive experience for children of all backgrounds and abilities. Pamela’s work has garnered widespread recognition, with features on Good Morning Britain and endorsements from prominent figures such as actor Will Poulter, who read her books, and TV presenter Davina McCall and the Duchess of York.
