Sing-along with Paula and Mandy the Moose as they travel to the top of the mountain in search of fresh snow. Then, have a go at creating your own paper porcupine mask. All you need is some paper, glue, coloured pens, scissors and an adult to help you.
Listen to the sounds of waves, explore the movements of soaring birds and discover the mysterious song of the sea in an interactive storytelling of The Boy of the Red Twilight. Then, grab some paper and have a go at crafting everyone’s favourite water bird in this week’s activity… quack quack!
Discover the power of kindness and a warm smile in this week’s sing-along story, featuring a very wise old woman who lives on the edge of town with her friendly donkey. Then, have a go at folding your own origami donkey out of just one single sheet of paper… magic!
Hear the enchanting story of the Fire Festival and discover how one village covered Ghana with light to ensure the safe return of a child that wandered a little too far from home. Then, create your own paper lantern. All you need is a sheet of paper, scissors, glue or a stapler and an adult to help you.
Find out how an old woman cleverly outsmarts a pesky jackal, tiger and lion as she journeys across a luscious South Asian forest in a sensory storytelling of The Old Woman and the Pumpkin. Then, have a go at creating your own paper lion at home. (Please note: this craft includes the use of scissors and requires adult supervision).
Follow Anya as she moves across Japan to a new island. When she faces the challenges of making new friends and feeling at home in a new place, Anya finds joy and confidence in singing her favourite song. Inspired by Anya’s story, create your own paper fan to move in time with the enchanting Sakura song. You will need a sheet of paper, scissors, glue and an adult to help you.
Follow Celia and her cat on an epic journey across the mountains in search of family. Hear about all the friends she makes on the way with help from the rhythm of her drum and discover how she restores joy to the Land of the Giants with her music.
Then, have a go at creating your own cat companion in this week’s craft activity. You will need two sheets of coloured paper, scissors, glue and an adult to help you.
Join Paula David on a trip to a sunny family farm to meet a young girl called Fahrida. While her joints often swell and ache, Fahrida always loves joining her sister to sing to their working mother on the farm. As she grows up, she fears that she won’t be able to help on the farm but, with support from her family and a touch of cheery song, Fahrida always finds a way.
Inspired by Fahrida’s bustling farm, have a go at creating a paper chicken in this week’s craft activity. You will need a sheet of coloured card, coloured paper, scissors, glue and an adult to help you.
