This week, make the most of the last of the summer holidays and head to the beach with Claire and her friend Maurice the colourful monkey.
Sing, move and play along as they build sandcastles, take to the waves, dance on the golden sands and more. Guided by Claire, you can grab your own props or use the power of imagination.
Claire needs your help to find Maurice, who has ventured deep into the jungle to join the Big Baboon Banana Bonanza.
Sing, dance and follow Claire through the trees. Encounter snakes, lions, parrots and more, using instruments and props or the magic of your own imagination.
Gather some props from around your home, craft your own seaweed (with help from a grown-up) or simply activate your imagination. Then, join Claire to plunge into the depths of the ocean. What kind of sea life will you discover?
Sing along and explore the sights, sounds and movements of the sea in this week’s sensory adventure.
Take a trip to Africa for a sensory, sing-along story. Gather some props from around your home to really get in to character this week’s story. You can even craft your own spider out of everyday objects with a bonus tutorial. Or, as always, simply use the magic of your imagination.
Then, join Claire and Maurice the monkey as they share a famous folktale from Africa. Discover how Anansi was transformed from a man to a cheeky spider in a tale full of magic, trickery and… mangoes.
The queen has many roses and quite a big nose. But, unfortunately, she can’t smell because she has a blocked nose!
Discover how Maurice the Monkey and his friend Tom Cat save the day in this week’s sensory storytelling. For an optional added layer of immersion, gather up some items to play along with the story and have a go at making your own cheeky mouse finger puppet.
Meet fairies, performing donkeys and Puck the mischief-maker in this fun and child-friendly adaptation of Shakespeare’s famous play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Sit back and enjoy the tale of magic and mischief, or grab some props from around your home to act along.
Please note: this sparkly, sensory performance features twinkling lights which may not be suitable for some viewers with light sensitivities.
Join Claire and Maurice the monkey as they encounter the wicked witch. Gather up ingredients from around your home to add to her witch’s brew and find out what happens when she finally casts the spell…
To really get in the mood for this week’s spooky story adventure, create your very own ghost using paper, cotton pads and this easy tutorial. You can also follow Claire’s optional (but utterly fa-boo-lous) prop and costume list at the beginning of the video.
Learn about Guy Fawkes and Bonfire Night. Join Guy Fawkes and his enemy King James I and find out about a dastardly plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament! Grab your instruments and some props from your house, and learn why we have bonfires and fireworks on 5 November each year.
Join Claire and her friends Bentsen, Maurice, and Bo to explore the magic of all the different seasons. From flowers and shells to crispy fallen leaves and snowflakes, see what you can find around your home that represents what makes each season special. And, most importantly, get ready to singalong and boogie!
Take to the seas with Captain Claire and Polly Parrot to sing, dance, scrub the deck and, most importantly, track down some treasure!
Guided by Claire, collect some props to really get into the swashbuckling spirit and even make your own treasure map with this bonus tutorial. Or simply come along for the ride.
Join Claire Benton, Maurice and Polly Parrot to meet all your favourite superheroes and learn what makes the ultimate superhero. Use your inner bravery and some sensory props to become a superhero yourself, and even design your own superhero shield with this bonus tutorial.
Warm-up your vocals and enter the world of musicals in this week’s sing-along storytelling with Embracing Arts. Join Claire and friends as they share their all-time favourite musicals. One featuring cheeky monkeys, one all about friends, one filled with hope… maybe you’ll recognise a tune or two. Listen and find out. You can even grab some props to really take part in the show.
Join Claire and friends to explore the cosmos. Make your own space suit out of foil and then jump aboard a rocket ship. Take a tour of Mercury, Jupiter and Neptune. Experience all the different temperatures and environments of each planet, spin around in space and walk on the moon!
To celebrate the final session of a wonderful term full of sensory storytelling and silliness, Claire and friends have a special festive treat to share. 🎄✨
