Strategically plan and oversee delivery of Discover’s Learning programme.

Once Upon a Time, in the East of London, there was a magical place that literally brought stories to life. A love of language, literature and storytelling was built into an immersive experience with three floors of magical Story Worlds and a Story Garden – where children and their families could play, create and discover together.

Discover Children’s Story Centre’s Head of Learning is an existing SMT level role – an influential position with broad reach and great potential. We are looking for someone to build on the amazing groundwork already in place to create something really special for us, and for our highly demanding and expectant young visitors.

First and foremost, you will understand and be passionate about the need for learning to underpin everything we offer. You will understand the importance of aligning creativity, fun and imagination with the delivery of learning scheme and curriculum needs and will understand that inclusivity is a constant thread that runs through all we do. Salary: £35,895 per annum

Hours: 35 hrs. per week Monday to Friday – with requirement for some evening and weekend work. We would consider a 4 day/28 hr. week (salary pro rata)

Location: A regular presence is required in Discover Story Centre in Stratford, east London to deliver this role effectively however it is possible to work remotely for between 1-2 days per week.

Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays.

Closing Date: 9.00am Wednesday 15th December
